The Clark County School District (CCSD) Superintendent announced on February 25, 2021, the return for elementary school students to campus for Face-to-Face Instruction for Five Days a week beginning on Tuesday, April 6th , 2021 for interested families. This is another new model of student instruction and quite a change from the current Hybrid Model with Cohorts A, B, and C. In this model students will be on campus for 5 school days each week or may choose to remain in Distance Learning for 5 school days each week for the remainder of this school year.
Please note that Bartlett Elementary School did not assign students in January to Cohort A, B, or C for the Hybrid Model. CCSD processed the Cohort algorithm district-wide on January 31, 2021. As we move forward toward April 6th, students will be re assigned from the current Cohort A, B, or C Hybrid model to either Face-to-Face Instruction for Five Days a week beginning on Tuesday, April 6th , 2021 or to remain in distance learning for the remainder of the school year . The number of students able to return to Face to Face Instruction for Five Days a week will depend on availability as we adhere to CDC, Health Department, and CCSD safety guidelines.
Deadline March 11th
Our first day for Face-to-Face Instruction for Five Days is currently scheduled for Tuesday, April 6th, 2021 for Pre-K through 5th grade. In preparing for the transition to Face-to-Face Instruction for Five Days the Clark County School District is utilizing the survey results from the questionnaire sent out in November where families were able to indicate their preference for their student to return to the school building. This information was gathered three months ago (prior to even the Hybrid Survey which was sent out in January). We understand that many families may have a change of mind between the original survey in November, the Hybrid Survey in January, and now. We would like to provide an opportunity for our families to revisit their preference.
Depending on demand, students whose family request to attend Face-to-Face Instruction for Five Days may be placed on a waitlist if we are unable to ensure current CDC, Health Department, and CCSD safety guidelines. If you did not fill out the survey in November nor the survey in January, or joined our school after the surveys were administered, CCSD automatically assigned your child to Cohort C for full-time distance learning. To best serve you and your family we are asking ALL Bighorn Families to confirm their decision to remain in Distance Learning or request (This is not a guarantee) the Face-to-Face Instruction for Five Days a week by completing the Bartlett E.S. FIVE DAYS SURVEY no later than Thursday, March 11th, 2021 at Midnight.
Student capacity for Face-to-Face Instruction for Five Days will be limited due to established safety guidelines. Once student capacity has been reached for Face-to-Face Instruction for Five Days a week all following requests will be placed on a waitlist.
In the absence of a family response to the FIVE DAYS SURVEY, your child will remain in the Distance Learning Model through the end of this school year.
